The Exmouth Stroke Survivors Club offers a variety of support and rehabilitation services for stroke survivors, their families, and carers in Exmouth. The club provides a welcoming and supportive environment designed to help members rebuild confidence and independence after a stroke.
Services and Activities
The club provides both practical and social support through a range of activities and services:
- Support & Community: Offers a place for survivors, families, and carers to share experiences, build friendships, and gain support.
- Rehabilitation: Provides a range of activities aimed at physical and mental well-being, including seated exercise, Tai Chi, table tennis, and physiotherapy.
- Social & Leisure: Organizes various social events, games, quizzes, arts and crafts, music sessions, community outings, and even club holidays.
- Practical Assistance: Offers educational workshops, advice on managing daily activities, and sometimes assistance with benefits, housing, and appointments. Home visits are also offered to stroke survivors.
- Memory Café: A memory café is held where attendees can enjoy coffee and cake and engage in meaningful activities and social interactions.
- Meals: A hot meal is often provided during meeting times for a nominal fee.
